Welcome back to Fighter Overview! In this series of daily posts I plan on explaining how every Fighter in the game works. This episode is quite special, because you'll be introduced to the first OVERLORD in the roster! Let's get to it, shall we?
OVERLORD 1: GOLDEN FREDDY
Type: Multi-Target Ailment
Unlock: Starter
The last starter character from the roster, but a very powerful one! Golden Freddy is apart of an unique group of Fighters called OVERLORDS. In the game you're able to use 5 Fighters at once. The fifth spot of the team is reserved for Overlords! (you can't have more than 1 in a team) So, what are they exactly?
They are quite similar to Fighters, but have some unique perks! They are INVINCIBLE, meaning that they are NEVER targeted by enemies. Also unlike Fighters, you don't have to level them up as their Level depends on the Team's Average Level. If you get every Fighter in your team to Level 4, then Golden Freddy will also be Level 4! On top of all that they also have VERY STRONG attacks that take quite the time to charge.
Golden Freddy's attack is called HAUNT. This attack spooks all enemies, heavily reducing their Defense for a short duration. To explain what "Defense" is, it's one of the STAT MULTIPLIERS mentioned in Fighter Overview #2. Defense determines how much Damage a character takes. The lower the Defense, the higher their Damage Intake gets!
This attack makes Golden Freddy VERY useful if your team is based around good DPS. Just make sure to activate this ability at the right time though, as again it doesn't last as long and takes a LONG time to charge!
FIGHTER 5: TOY FREDDY
Type: Single-Target Support Tank
Unlock: Isle 1
Toy Freddy is the first unlockable character from the roster. He specializes in something the previous Fighters don't: Team Defense! While his damage potential is small and slow, his Supportive Capabilities are top notch! He also has the highest Health out of all the Fighters so far!
His attack is named MIC TOSS. Toy Freddy throws his mic at one random enemy, dealing little Damage. On top of that, he gains a massive Defense Boost for a short duration while also giving a partial Defense Boost to his allies for a slightly longer duration. You could say he juxtaposes what Golden Freddy does!
Toy Freddy can be very useful if your team is lacking proper healing or heading against high damage enemies. He's surely the guy for the job!
TOMORROW: WITHERED BONNIE & TOY CHICA
See you tomorrow!
