1982
In 1982, the recent news of Utah's "Fredbear Family Diner" reaches the east coast, and a set of 3 friends want to capitalize on the recent uproar of animatronic attractions. They came up with the idea of "Bunny and Bear's Happy Hollows," an outdoors attraction that specializes in southern barbecue and hamburgers. Along with the food, they came up with the idea for the animatronics, the star of the show, "Grant the Grizzly" and his sidekick, "Ronald the Rabbit." The sketches for the animatronics were huge, upwards of 12' tall. No matter for them though, since they would be powered by the most state of the art batteries and equipment of the time, and be updated each year. Upon making the base endoskeleton for the animatronics, an extension was made on Ronald's head for his ears. This brought his total height to over 13' tall. Unfortunately, the animatronics at the time were too big to be able to move, but they still programmed in walkable areas for later on when they added in the correct strength servos and parts for movement. In early 1983, the park was ready to be opened. With its flashy sign showcasing the tall brown grizzly, and the even taller gray rabbit. Local families just couldn't resist, and the 3 began making profit in no time. Each year, as they had promised, they gave them new features, a new sound system, new endoskeleton, new eyes, all sorts, but it wasn't until late 1990 that they made the biggest change of all.
