You can now interact with objects on the map besides the door to the next room (wait, there's no door!)
A menu where you can view your mission, switch partners, toggle a 2 player mode, and eventually equip special effects!

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

PE Sketchbook #1:
This is the earliest concept art I found for PE's battle engine. It worked similarly to the original THSMC engine, besides the fact that battles had two enemies and that all battle participants were always in view.
