Since a new month has begun it’s time for my general monthly update.
Well first of all, some private matters of mine are acting up on me slowing the production down a bit. I won’t go into detail about those matters, all you need to know is that it slows the production down a bit.
Nevertheless I could still book some great progress, so no need to whine. ;)
Of course as you know I made an update on the demo, and it’s very likely another update will appear during February or March, and this allows you to see things getting better in the game.
First of all the first Spirata temple has been put in the game. These Spirata fellows are very important. Each character will merge with a Spirata during the events of the game allowing them great superpowers to be used in combat. Well “ladies first”, so Marrilona is the first character to get her Spirata which will be the water Spirata. Once she obtains it she can use the diamond icon in combat (I bet you wondered what it did, right?) And doing so will deplete all her ability points and turn her into a mermaid form (since her Spirata represents water) and in the next turn she will cast a supermove, however the power of this move is dependent on a. her level and b. how much % AP she had left on the moment you used this icon. After casting this spell she’ll turn back into her normal form and resume combat accordingly.
Jake, Dandor and Hando Stillor will be able to do the same in the Fire, Earth and Wind elements respectively, once they merged with their Spirata.
I’ve also enhanced the underlying Kthura engine allowing me to put extra visual effects in the Spirata temples.
I’ve worked out the Elfish town of Iskarderiu, and several dungeons now, and I am currently working out the Fairy Village of Frendor, of which you’ve only seen a fraction in the Demo. Well if you played The Secrets of Dyrt you’ll see the village didn’t change that much, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t much work involved in making it work well.
Well above is a shot of the Water Spirata temple as shown in the map editor (so some zone blocks you won’t see in game are visible now).
I hope I can show you more soon.
