God's Tear

God's Tear Pre-Alpha Demo (v0.1.0) is now up!!

After months of preparation, I'm finally ready to show you guys what I have so far. It goes without saying, this does not represent the final version of the game. Please try it out and give feedback. #demo

I want to showcase some basic stuff in this demo:

  • Character physics

  • Art direction

  • Feel of the combat

  • Level design

The combat won't be all just that. I have plans to implement a main and sub weapon system, which can be chained into a combo attack. There will also be a magic system. For now though, it's just the sword.

Aside from the enemies wandering the levels I also plan to implement a 'Realm Tear' system, which is basically a rift where stronger enemies can spawn. These rifts will happen at random, in designated sub areas. Players must defeat these enemies in order to proceed to the next area.

I could talk your ears off about my plans for the game, but what I'm more excited for is your feedback of the demo. Please try it out and let me know what you think!

I ran the same test with the Player Swap mechanic. You can only choose between one or the other, depends on your decision on who will join your adventure. #gamedev #godstear #madewithunity

Kikkerstein had a great day 1 at LVL UP EXPO!

If you’re in Vegas, come see us on day 2!

Here's a chart of all enemies in Gnome More War. Unless marked, all enemies are unlockable in the Switch, Android, and Gamejolt(PC) versions. #gamedev #pixelart

Happy #WIPWednesday! Are you working on a game? Making some art? Practicing a song? Something else? Tell us in the comments!

Gotta learn how to aim. #gamedev

Started prototyping the Player Assist feature. With a press of a button you can summon party members that will perform their special attacks. I know it looks like Ender Lillies but my inspiration was the Marvel vs Capcom games.

Game Jolt is at LVL UP EXPO with a booth highlighting indie games!

Follow the Jolters whose work will be showcased at our booth to complete the quest.

If you do, you'll get Coins and a trophy!

Done with character swapping! Swap between the melee tank (Aether) and the long ranged mage (Myst). It's gonna be be fun designing levels that accommodate contrasting play styles. #screenshotsaturday
