He is not gone, not completely.

Hello everybody! I hope you are well.

Finally, after a few days missing, the game is back with big changes and a lot of new things to come - maybe not so soon -.

In this post, I would like to talk about several things that might be important about the development and how everything will work from now on.

Why the change?

Well, since the beginning of the development of the game several months ago, I didn't have a route I wanted to follow nor a story, which I could take as a basis so that everything could unfold in a more natural way (I don't know if I'm expressing myself well, I hope so).

So, I never liked the idea of ‘Just Another FNaF Fangame’ per se, I didn't like the name, nor where the game was going, even though I was making it on my own, and I stopped working on it consistently for a short time.

So, I started brainstorming about how I should change everything, whether I should change it in the first place, where I wanted the story to go, etc. And I came up with the best idea out of all that, ‘Afton's Aftermath’, a name that I love and that goes along with the story that's going on right now.

What about development?

The game engine will change from Unreal Engine 5.2 to Unreal Engine 4.27, as this ensures that even if your PC doesn't have as good components, the game will run at least on medium settings at a stable and comfortable framerate for you.

The game is still in prototyping and team search phase, as right now I'm looking for a modeller and a composer, so I'm working with placeholders (e.g. Security Breach ambient music and models of the original animatronics as enemies).

I think I lost the thread of what I was writing - But the game will be in the oven for at least a year, considering I'm working on personal projects like ‘Crow’ and ‘Perfect Crootox - The Visual Novel’ and other people's projects (which I can't talk about).

Hm. I guess I didn't have so much to discuss in the end, eh?

Oh yes, I have one more announcement for you, which I forgot before.

To make the wait for the game a little more enjoyable (and this is something I love to do, so I don't leave you hanging) I'm pleased to announce the game's standalone DLC:

‘Afton Robotics’ Training Programme'.... I guess you'll have to guess here what it's about or what the mechanics will be like, but more information on this will be coming soon!

The game is planned to be released around January 25th and February 17th if all goes well :D

Now, all that said, thanks for reading and I hope you have a nice rest of the day or night ^_^

I'm working on *another* project, it's still in prototypes right now, but we might be pitching it to a publisher soon!

For now, have this concept art done in a bit of a hurry.
