Hello!

My name is GreatestFrog, one of the three devs of George and Yu. I'd like to take you through some stuff we've been cooking up, and talk about the state of the project.


What's new with George and Yu?

We've mostly been working on getting the game able to played through from start to finish, while adding polish and flair where we can. The game's definitely getting made, and almost all of the overworld is mapped out but not fitted with NPC's or events. That said, we're chugging along and it's all going well. Here's some sprites and gameplay screenshots.

Besides that, the road ahead for the game is looking pretty good. We're not set on any release date as not to stress ourselves, but we've been working on some cool things, like this.

I fucking hate RPG Maker and it's dumb stupid restrictions. Please kill me.

Beyond that, we've got not too much we want to report, as we'd like this game to be as much of a surprise to everyone playing it as possible. We leave you with this.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
