Outcasts

Hey there!

So, I tried to upload a little teaser for Outcasts multiple times, but it failed. Most likely just my internet being crap, I don't know.

But wait, there's more!

I was going to announce in the post that development for Outcasts is going to be postponed for a much smaller side-project I started in the hopes that I'll have a renewed enthusiasm for the game when I come back to it.

Maybe you're sad to hear that, maybe you're excited for something new, maybe you don't care at all, I don't know.

To me, one of the hardest parts of making a big project is looking at all the old assets you're using, realizing how bad they are, and then having to accept the fact that you're using them or suffering another six months of drawing. Coding the same characters and using the same sprites and listening to the same music struggling to tell the same story is gonna drive me insane if I don't have multiple projects with their own atmospheres to turn to. Maybe I sound crazy for trying to juggle these projects, maybe I am crazy, but I'm gonna be really slow if I just try to press on with Outcasts.

Sorry.

This is Outcasts.

But it's not the Outcasts I've talked about before.

Experimental title sequence

(Don't worry, I'll touch up the backdrops.)

After a surprisingly short discussion with @LinkIncGames awhile back, we've decided to do a crossover.

I'm happy to announce that The Flipside's Mira Fletcher will appear in Outcasts!

Hey there! So, I know I said I'd have a cutscene ready in the next devlog, but something much more important has come up.

Happy Devruary! Devruary Day 1 celebrates @pm-studios ! They're doing their part to publish awesome games and keep physical gaming alive! We also have a question for the devs of Game Jolt: Why did you start making games?

Cover for a short book I'm trying to do.

Behold, one of the travel abilities available to the player in Outcasts - The ShortRift!

I'd be lying to say I didn't have a ton of fun messing around with this.

The Scratch Team has just recently updated their Terms of Service yesterday, letting you know they now have full permission to use your content to train AI models.

Who wants a crappy, half-finished cutscene?!
