Daily Chthonicle 1.5

Next to some other additions that I’ll be writing more about soon, but not in this post, the latest version of Daily Chthonicle now lets the player save their score to the online hiscore board.

The score may only be sent after you have finished at least the first chapter of the game.

To send the score, after having closed the window (either winning the game or not), simply enter a valid player name when prompted by the input box. Only letters and numbers are allowed.

The feature is still under development, the input box is somewhat lackluster (mildly speaking) and the scoring system might (but hopefully won’t) still change in the future, which means the board would have to be reset.

I am also planning to eventually add support for full player accounts on our site, allowing them to save the statistics and score for each game then compete in various fields (from the type of artefacts and how many they collected to the number of shoggoths they banished or phantoms they exorcised…)

Until then, I hope this will make things a bit more interesting in the sporting department!
