Beginning of the first (and currently only) level of Gust of Wind. Also, the first glimpses of a dialogue editor my friend is coding for the project.
Next up
Made a rain cylinder effect (reducing the need for particles), and a tutorial explaining the process in broad terms (Unity, HDRP): https://t.co/XqnHulTzHj
Physics based hand operated crane that can be used to open gratings. I've been working to get this to work more reliably. Still a bit janky but getting there.
Spending my effort on the things that matter in Gust of Wind
Thanks for showing your support y'all!
When the character falls on a very slanted surface, it switches to fall with physics. I had this before too, but yesterday did some big improvements on how it looks (adding its own animation and adjusting the transitions, physics collider and camera).
Causing an alarm
Prisoners getting moved below deck after a successful boarding. (featuring AI moving in a rocking ship, which I've banged my head against a wall for a while trying to do)
Grappling hook + timing = successful entrance
A thick morning haze in Gust of Wind, consisting of volumetric clouds (new in Unity 2021.2 beta), and some fog particles and volumetric fog.
The game got a big new update, adding things like Steam Deck support and AI allies that can be brought on to fight enemies in certain situations.
