I added a KNOCKDOWN mechanic to my turn-based RPG.

Now when you target a unit's weakness, (E.G using Light Magic on a Vampire) the unit is knocked down and spends their next turn getting back up!

Hey guys!

I decided to start posting written devlogs on Gamejolt!

Now, I'll keep you updated on the progress I'm making on my numerous projects.

Project Another World is heavily inspired by the Persona Series, you can learn more about the project here:

My world is filled with numerous creatures with their own strengths and weaknesses similar to palaces/dungeons in Persona.

Therefore, I took inspiration from that and decided to implement a knockdown mechanic to reward a unit for targeting another unit's weakness.

This mechanic isn't done yet! I'm now working on the next step and will share it when it's done.

Please note that the UI isn't final. The game is still in the prototype stage and I'll polish the UI later. I know the damage number is overlapping the "WEAK" text.

Once all players are knocked down, the enemy will initiate a beatdown with their buddies!
