I had a lot of fun over the weekend and I'm back now so I can continue working on the game. I've finished the weapon system by adding weapon effects. I've also completed the game loop by adding the revive system. I also cleaned up the code base and fixed a few bugs so we're in a good place. The last couple of things on my list until I move on to the next batch is sound design pass and shield implementation. It should be pretty easy to get done. The next batch are things like the upgrade menu and new enemies. I also plan to continue improving the enemy ai. I want to get this demo out as soon as possible but it's still a few months out.

Madeline is the main protagonist of the mountain climbing platformer, Celeste. The game has been praised for its visuals, gameplay, and introspective narrative. The game's creator Maddy Thorson confirmed that Madeline is trans in 2020.
