Game
Eternal Frenemies: Return to Eternity

I swear there's a special kind of AAAAAGGGHHHHH when debugging game code and finally discovering solutions to the most annoying problems THE DAY BEFORE RELEASE.....

I'm sick, but I'll keep pushing - I want this game to be published and available for all.

And by "sick", in this context I am using the expression for frustration by the collateral effort, if not damage, brought on by the irony of a situation (in this case, the irony of the answers to the most complex development problems not only being among the simplest code of the build, but are also elusive until a point in time where the ONE way to eliminate stress is to have it done).

I am currently scheduling the game's release for April 7th, 2026 (tomorrow) at 7:00 pm US Central Daylight Time. I have mentioned before that I plan to re-release the game with translations of the most popular language suggestions among the players of the English release. I will also save any and all bug updates and fixes for that future re-release (it's a way to give me time to once again file through the build with a fine-tooth comb for the smoothest update possible).

See you soon with the blaring horns post of announcing the game's availability!

Yep. FINALLY. Mark your calendars, fellow GJ citizens!

Let's see how presentable I can make this game build by then....

(No this is not an April Fool's joke - I'm not big enough of a creator to get a laugh out of that)

So at this point, I have less than 24 hours to get the game ready for release.

Those who follow me and/or this game, the following article is for you to read.

The storyboard is technically made up of cutscenes, but a lot of shots were redrawn as CGs for the visual novel game.

This is NOT one of them, but describes a "canon event" for the game.

Read article for more of my usual rambling and subtle encouragement.

Early context?? We're not about that jazz, that's the full game's story to tell.

Anyways, all of the assets for the game are FINALLY done and imported into the game build!

Said rambling is in the article, but hopefully you consider enjoying the demo anyway!

HELLO CLASS!

Today on this lovely #ScreenshotSaturday, we're gonna go over the two different kinds of non-sprite art you will see in the game - backgrounds and CGs (which I abbreviate for "cutscene graphics")!

So on tap for today, I want to go over a few simple choice types for the fellow devs that need a refresher as they plan future VNs.

Used correctly, they can make people invest in your VN game more.
