I wanted to take the time, sit down and express what my goals are for the release of this game. (and before you ask why this is tagged with Hollow Knight and Undertale, I must ask you to bare with me) https://store.steampowered.com/app/3376920/Fractured_Balance/

What is the current state of the Development ?

At the moment the focus is on development of the Steam Demo, inside which there are major changes to the current state of the game.

  1. Level expansions

  2. Unlockable Abilities

  3. Saving and loading game files

  4. Cloud synchronisation

  5. Achievements

  6. Varied Difficulties

  7. Animations

  8. New Music and Sound Effects

These are all going to be inside the new demo.


What are the plans for the full release

Here is where the tags of Hollow Knight and Undertale come into play.

My plan Although ambitious is to take the platforming and Metroidvania aspect of Hollow Knight (the juicy game play) and fuse them with the character's, story's and charm of Undertale.

My love for this two games runs deep, I could probably sit and write about them for days. which is why my dream game has always been one that mixes the two together and creates a new experience from them but I hardly ever found any game which actually manages to do that right.

So I decided I would do it myself


Okay what does that plan actually entail ?

Well my dear friends, that plan for the feature entails:

  1. Map expansion With multiple are and area types

    1. Varied Enemy types

    2. Varied Environment's

    3. Varied difficulties

  2. Story driven writing

    1. Adding proper *LORE*

    2. More characters

    3. Actual Story

  3. STTTAAATTTSSSS

    1. More achievements

    2. Leader boards

    3. Statistics

and some more stuff which I don't want to spoils just yet.

Development of the Fractured Balance Demo is coming along very well, Achievements and stats have already been integrated for steam, it will take bit for them to come to game jolt as I would like to perfect the stat syncing system. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3376920/Fractured_Balance/

Implemented 2 fun mechanics:

1. Implemented: Dashing into a enemy instantly kills them

2. Implemented: Falling on a enemy kills them and resets your jump allowing you to jump on another enemy killing them

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

So after a lot of work and effort i have reached this position where i can officially give you guys a early look into the final version of this game (there is no audio (i am looking for someone to colab with))
