Independence Day Devlog – Read below for the details and a call to action.


i finally figured out how to do this kind of thing

Happy (late) fourth of July—I was too tired yesterday to reup my comic OR work on FF yesterday, my bad guys—have an update for it!

I finally started to put the ending touches onto the menu, leaving me with a few things to do left! As for how this mockup is different from the OLD one...
* The encounter flavor text has been added.
* An area number has been added (it's 0 due to the fact that I haven't added progression yet).

* MP is FINALLY added! (And SPELLS are in the Mercy menu.)

And I've completed the important parts of the menu in the process! Or atleast, mainly so. All that's left is adding the acts for every monster in the test area (and then RUINS) so I can release a tech demo somewhere (since PenguinMod is currently down).

I suppose for my absence yesterday, I can release a plan or two for the game...

The game, as it is supposed to be, will have routes. However, the intention behind altering the routes is... complicated. The Genocide route is the """simple""" route, the 'beat the game fast', while the Pacifist route is more... rewarding than murder. The Genocide route is intended to get you more weapons, while the Pacifist route gets you everything.

Spells, unlike most games, are (to be) unlocked by sparing Monsters, and whenever I get to making the pre-game, you get 10 points to get as many spells as you can. Some are planned to be based off of AT (Like a normal attack), some being based off of the current area (Maybe like Sans' KR (fanon-wise)); some being based off DF (like a healing spell!), some off of HP (a last resort attack, maybe like the poses in MTT EX).

I don't know how many spells I'll add, but I know they're going to be an interesting thing to add, 'cause some would straight up be fire v.s. fire, and that wouldn't make sense to have high DMG output for. So, I'm gonna have to add elements (y'know what, when I said LIKE Pokerogue, I never meant POKEMON ELEM--)

Anyways... I made a post like this in the PM discord server a while back... but one person accepted (only one who's HELPING anyways). That being said, if you want to contribute to this game, through helping me with ideas, or through spriting or composing, I'd be happy to have you. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Temmie and Toby's spritework, but this game, for what it will be, needs flair, and right now, all I have is a poorly made logo.

Quantum precognition is one of the most powerful cards. End game cards & equipment. Demo/alpha build boss is no match for this deck.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
