EDIT: I’ve finished the installers for mac & windows and they’re now available as build 1.3.2. I’ll post release notes and a news post tomorrow. I’ll leave this news article here as legacy in case anyone winds up with an old build for some reason.

Fixing Missing File Errors

Some users have been running into difficulty after unzipping the game package. If you try to run the game, but a message comes up saying that a file is missing, make sure that the .exe file wasn’t moved and no files were deleted from the folder after you unzipped it.

To try to fix the problem, download the game again and unzip it on your desktop. Be sure not to move any files that are in the Kokoro game directory afterwards.

I realize that distributing a game as a .zip file is somewhat obnoxious, and can potentially be error-prone. In order to help speed you on your way to melting your brain cells with KnDDS, I’ve started work on a one-click installer program which will replace the game package for Windows. If you’ve run into trouble with Kokoro, try downloading the game fresh like I described above, and if that doesn’t work follow Kokoro and give the installer a shot when its ready!

Please let me know if you run into any trouble downloading or playing Kokoro! Be sure to give as much detail as possible, including the exact text of any error message you’re seeing, and whether your computer is a PC or a Mac.
