Hello everyone, I know it's been some time since the last update, and that's because I haven't had much to share since that mini-boss preview from 6+ months ago. A lot of UI and programming tweaks were made necessary after that last video

HOWEVER! As a reward for your patience, I will be offering an opportunity to preview the game before its early access release. Typically, I'd stick to devlogs, but often I get stuck on figuring out what to and what not to show. As a result, I propose showing off the levels one-by-one as I complete them, allowing criticisms and feedback, so that I may be able to perfect them before they release.

If you're not coming from Ariathia's page, you definitely had not heard of this until now, so here's a brief description of what Ariathia is:

Ariathia is an upcoming top-down [2D] shooter within the sci-fi genre. Mixing the pixelated top-down graphics from games like Hotline Miami, with the interstellar and militaristic vibes of games like Halo, Ariathia promises to host a captivating yet "classic" experience. The story revolves around a psuedo-soldier who ends up stranded on a faraway planet with other members of their fireteam, where you must find them after unfortunate circumstances split you from your group, and attempt to escape with your lives.

It's still early in development, so everything is still a little rough, but I'm excited to show you what I have, when I have enough ready to show off. With that said, would you be interested in seeing clips from the game as development progresses?

Preview of the game's first enemy, the Exiled Shadoth. For now, they aimlessly roam the cave-like canvas where you currently reside.

Yet another preview! We're still in Ariathia's E1M1, and this time, we're covering a new enemy: the Charger. While it has a simple moveset, this enemy is swift and hits hard, so be careful when facing this foe!

Here's a preview of Ariathia's first level. Right now, a little over the rooms shown are complete, and hopefully I should be able to have a majority of the level done by this time next week. Follow the game's page (or me) for more updates!

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
