Game
Supply Chain Tycoon

It has been a while since the last update, but I am still working on the game. Here is the update of the current progress.

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all staying save. It has been a while since I have posted an update on the progress, but here it is!

TLDR: I am still working on the game and it won't be too long before the game receives another update. ;-)

First a little bit about my personal life and why it has been a while since posting something.  Last year in September my wife and I have had our first child, a beautiful boy! My wife has had a nice long maternity leave and so I could still keep working on Supply Chain Tycoon. In February her leave ended and that meant I had the solo care for our boy in the day. Along with some other projects I was working on, this meant I didn't have much time left to work on Supply Chain Tycoon. But now everything has settled a bit, I have found my routine in taking care of the baby (for as much as you can have a routine with a little baby), and the other projects are either finished or take up less time now. This means that for the past few weeks I have been working on Supply Chain Tycoon a little more again.

But what have I been working, you ask?  When I started again with Supply Chain Tycoon, I was thinking about changing the style to a more realistic look. But after experimenting with that a bit, I came to the conclusion that that would lead to a larger scope than I could realistically handle as a solo developer.  So I went back to the style I was using before, but now totally. This means that also the vehicles have changed to the same style as the scenery. It gives less variety in the vehicles for now, but at least I can then focus more on other gameplay mechanics and livening up the scenery.
Regarding the scenery I have been working on a way which makes it easier for myself to create different maps, so I can experiment with what works and what doesn't work more quickly. I am happy with how it turned out and I might make it public later on, so people can create their own maps.
Another thing I have been working on is thinking about kind of a storyline for the start of the game, so you can easily grow into the game and then expand your business. Things I will be working on regarding this are more interaction with the vehicle dealer, like selling your vehicle there, or trading in your vehicle for another vehicle. Also I will be working on a bank system, with the possibility of taking out a loan, so you can expand quicker.
And the last thing that is on the list for now, is the possibility to buy properties where you can store your vehicles. This also means the amount of vehicles you can own, will be limited by the space you have for them, which I think is a nice addition.

For now there is no update to the actual game yet, because I want to have the mechanics I talked about working well. But I think it won't be too long for the next game update. Keep an eye on this page or the social media to find out when the update arrives!

Happy Late Easter!

Hello my space friends! Now I added a space background to the ship. I love that space look but I still feel like stuff is missing. The lighting on the ship needs some improvements I think. Please tell me your opinion!
