The Indies vs Gamers Jam was a game jam hosted by Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, and Game Jolt. The theme of this jam was “Arcade” and each game had to include a scoreboard using the Game Jolt API.There were many games entered in this jam, I recorded all of them in my video compilation series.

Attack of the Plutonians! is a beautiful first person shooter where you are killing off the aliens from Pluto. In this game, you play as a man who has learned how to defeat aliens from his lifetime of gaming. Now, he must defeat the aliens invading the planet with some strange weapons. A chicken gun (shooting eggs of course), a nail gun, or a normal shotgun are all he has. There are many enemies, some shooting their alien guns at you, others just coming towards you in their little ships. Old school NES cartridges also dot the level and can be collected for more points. See how long you can survive on just your gaming skills.

[Super Nanny Sleepytime Ultra HD Alpha Omega] - (http://gamejolt.com/games/super-nanny-sleepytime-ultra-hd-alpha-omega/79991) is a game about getting bratty kids to bed. Being a nanny is a pretty hard task, especially when it comes to bedtime. All kids ever want to do is play and jump on you. You must get them to bed, using whatever means necessary. As kids come at you, you must attack them with your pillow to send them flying off to sleepy land. With a ton of different fighting moves, including ones to get rid of piles of kids on your head, spit balls and unruly children can be tamed to go to sleep. Do not forget to watch your stress bar, because if you do get too stressed out, you will give up and let the children stay up past bedtime.

Jack MacQwerty is a typing based game about a sherrif named Jack MacQwerty. He has been called in to rid the town of some bandits. These bandits have captured many innocent people and must be stopped. In order to stop the bandits, you must use your mad typing skills to type the names that appear above them before they line up to shoot you. After you have defeated a few bandits, the bad guys start to release innocent people! You must not type these innocent people’s names or you will shoot them and they will die. You can also type the word “Reload” to reload your gun. Be careful though, some words are not meant to be typed.

Lil’s Rocket Race is a cute little arcade game where you are jumping from rocket to rocket! Lil is a young girl who is riding rockets. Rocket jumping is a pretty tricky game, as the rockets can only be held onto for a short amount of time before they explode. You must move quickly from one rocket to the other while trying to get stars and staying on the screen. The only way to score points in this challenging game is to collect stars. So you must balance going for them and staying alive. This game is not only adorable, but also quite difficult.

Super Stuff Slugger is a simple yet addictive game that lets you let out some rage. Different objects are placed in front of you and you have a short amount of time to punch them until they break! Tougher objects like anvils and bowling balls have a longer time limit, whereas easier items like watermelons and pumpkins have a short time limit. There are two ways to punch the heck out of these objects - longer, charged punches, or short repetitive punching actions. Let out some anger and destroy many random objects!

Space Adventure is a fairly short game where you must avoid meteors and satelites as you gluide your ship through space! If your little ship crashes into any of the space debris, you will die. Every couple of feet, you will face one of the three awesome YouTubers featured in this jam. Once you start the boss battle, your ship will be able to shoot back and destroy the ship of the YouTuber. Markiplier’s ship even shoots mustaches! This game is just super well done and fun to play.

Planet Plunge is a game all about timing. You play as a little eye that is circling around planets. You must time your jumps to other planets just right, or else you will burn up in the atmosphere. Sometimes, you have to let yourself circle a planet more than once to gain speed to make it to the other planet. Don’t stay on planets too long, or you will start to lose points. As you fly through the atmosphere, your eye starts to glow red. If too much red surrounds it, you will blow up. There are also meteors dotting space. You can hit those on your way to planets to destroy them. This game is super addictive and fun to play.

Space Rocket: UP is another addictive game where you are a simple looking rocket that is moving foward. Around you are blue walls and you must follow their path and stay in between them. Red and orange walls appear from time to time that must be shot. There are also coins that can be collected to earn more points. This may all seem pretty simple, but the game itself is actually really challenging. The ship is always moving UP so you must hold down the left or right arrow to go in that direction. Once you let go of that key, you will start to go straight again. This game feels really smooth and is fun to play.

Pinata Mayhem is about a young boy named Timmy, who is looking to break the pinata at a party. The thing is, Timmy is blindfolded and has no clue what he is hitting! The whole park is filled with things to hit; presents, people, rocks, trees, even picnic baskets. Watch the smiles melt off the object’s face as you beat them with a bat! You only have one minute to destroy all the things, so make sure to gather some extra clocks to boost the time. There are also pieces of candy around the park - to make you swing the bat faster! How much havoc can you cause?

Loot Kid is a charming dungeon explorer that has you looking for loot. Each area is filled with enemies that must be killed. When these enemies die, they rain loot! You must collect this loot to add to your score. With just a shield and a sword by your side, you can choose how deep you want to go into the dungeon at any given time. Just go through the holes in the floor to go deeper and face more advanced monsters. If you continue walking left or right, you can continue on the floor of your choosing. Enjoy fighting monsters and collecting loot at your own pace!

Hungry Arcade Machine Rage is a 3D game where you play as a long abandoned arcade machine. People stop using your game in the arcade. After years of neglect, you have become hungry… hungry for tokens and humans! Now, you must go around the arcade collecting rogue tokens and eating people. Your health slowly drains as you walk around the arcade and the only way to heal yourself is by eating people! Police start to come around, shooting you with their guns, but you can blend in with the other machines to lure people close to you or make police go away. Get some revenge on the people that ignored you.

Good Days Are Gone is a first person shooter where your enemies are the old arcade machines. Old arcade machines have started to attack you. You must hide out in the house and destroy them with weapons that are planted in the walls. Every weapon costs tokens, which you can earn by shooting the machines to death. Each door or barrier also cost tokens to open. The atmosphere and music in this game is really fitting, adding quite the level of depth.

Vamkirate is a voxel endless runner where you are quite the character. You play as a vampire/pirate/viking/warrior whose only weakness is light. This epic character is on a quest to defeat English gunmen, evil creatures, and dragons! You must attack incoming enemies with either your gun or sword. Some of these enemies will shoot at you, but most will just try to attack you when you get close. If you get hit too many times, your health will run out and you will die. Over time, you can get special abilities that will help you get farther. Don’t take too much time defeating enemies, or the light will catch up to you and you will be defeated.

Dungeon Raiders is a beautiful game that has you looting a dungeon! You must explore an epic dungeon in search for all of the gold and diamonds. With only your trusty sword, you must defeat enemies, some shooting at you, others charging towards you, as you steal all that they have. There are even skeletons who throw bombs towards you. Each of these enemies can be killed, dying in a burst of extra loot. Chests also lurk in some dungeons, which can be broken open for some more points. This game is simple, but very nicely made with its charming graphics and array of areas to explore. How much loot can you collect?

Tetris Runner is an endless runner where you are running from Pac Man through a Tetris-themed maze! At first, this game is very simple. You must avoid tetris blocks that are in your way (unless they have a ramp) and run away from Pac Man. As you run, however, the land is procedurally generated. Soon, the thin, three-alley tunnel opens up to a huge tetris maze. There are tons of blocks to dodge, so you must act quickly and decide what path to take. If you smash into a wall or fall into lava, the game is over. There is no telling what block will next be in your way in this fast paced game.

Tiny Arcade has you managing a small arcade! You want your arcade to be the best in the town, so you must meet the needs of the consumers. People will wander into your arcade and go to the machine that they want to play. They will be able to rack up high scores and spend money that you will then get. After time, they will start to become hungry or thirsty. You must then lead them to the machines they desire. If you do not guide them to the correct machine, they will leave your arcade. Some people want specific food or drink, and if given that specific item, they will generate twice as much money! This whole game is timed, so you must try to get the highest score as possible in the set time. If you guide a person to the correct machine or refreshment, you will gain more time—but if they leave, you will loose time. Build the best arcade as quickly as possible.

Skellingtons Spookyverse is a hilarious bullet hell game where you play the Skellington King. This king has awoken and is here to steal all of the calcium rich food in order to strengthen his own boney empire! You must float around the universe shooting your own bones at enemy skeletons to destroy them. After they have been destroyed, they will drop a calcium enriched food that you can then pick up for points. Enemies shoot back red bones, that will destroy you. Once you get past a bunch of basic skeletons, mini bosses that provide even more of a hectic challenge will appear. The mix of awesome sprites, funny concepts, and hectic gameplay provide for a unique challenge.

Which ‘Wich is Which? Has you making sandwiches for the neighbourhood. You, Sam the pigeon, have decided to open up a sandwich shop! Now you must make the sandwiches that people order. You must pay attention to the serving size, bread type, sauce, and ingredients. The serving size is the number of different ingredients needed on the sandwich - for example, if the customer wants a 4” fish sandwich, you need to put four pieces of fish on the sandwich. Each customer will only wait so long for the sandwich, so you must remember and make what they order before their timer runs out! This game comes complete with cute graphics, and is fun and challenging to play.

BroBots has you managing two best bros, who also happen to be robots. These robots have very different skills; the smaller, spiked robot has the ability to run quickly into enemies in order to kill them. The bigger, bulky robot attracts enemies, but is able to pick up the coins that the dead enemies drop. The bulky robot has no way of killing enemies, and as they are attracted to him, you must use the smaller robot to protect him. Both of these robots rely on each other for survival and to collect coins to get a higher score. Some enemies take more than one hit to destroy, while others will shy away from the smaller robot if it gets near them. Remember, these robots rely on each other - make sure they help each other survive!

Eko is a charming platformer where you must go higher and higher up a golden tower.This tower is filled with many different enemies; some jump towards you and others float in the sky, or shoot at you. Once you defeat an enemy, coins will drop. These coins are then collected for a shop at the bottom of the level. The shop has abilities and power-ups that will help you make it further. Each level that you climb provides a new challenge, which you must shoot, wall jump, or go around. There is also a small time limit of just three minutes to get as far up the tower as possible. Because this game is procedurally generated, each time you play will be unlike the last.
