Jam Launch!

Hello, players and #gbjam entrants! Incident Report is now out in Jam form. It’s pretty rough, and has no music, but it’s definitely game-shaped and I hope you’ll get a few minutes enjoyment from poking and prodding it.

Incident Report is a wave-clearing game - you sweep through a warehouse eliminating threats and then dive deeper to the next level. With each level, the difficulty increases and you’ll find new enemies - and potentially new weapons - to tangle with.

Originally, Incident Report was going to be a game with a defined start and end, and the missions you played would be like little chunks of what the game ended up being. Each mission would be bookended by little dialogues with choices to make that would branch the missions, to add variation a little bit. In the end it proved too much for my week - I cut it and made it an endless shooter. It works just fine! But I’d like to make that branching game someday.

Thanks for taking a look at Incident Report. You can keep in touch via Twitter - @mtrc - or find more of my games at cutgarnetgames.itch.io
