Hey Ya'll!

The fight sequence with Asriel is fully finished. I added the last of the sprites and animated what was necessary.

Aside from Frisk's portrait sprite and the need for a fully new music track, the first 2 pages are done.

That includes the portion regarding Asriel's fall and the barrier itself breaking. Hooray! (odd to cheer after posting a sprite of Asriel crying... ^_^;)

Regarding Music

I'm not going to worry about it for now. I'm hoping I can find someone to help out down the road as I know next to nothing about the topic. it's my one big blind spot. alas, I suppose I can just stick to UT's soundtrack for now? maybe if the game ever gets big and more eyes are on the project I can re-release with an original score... hopefully someday! I'm so sorry it's going to be bare bones right now!

Progress

Speaking of which -since this game's scope is so drastically down scaled from Angel's Lullaby (my main fangame project, which is coded (in gml) from scratch with only a couple of coders helping me) this game instead is made with a pre-existing engine (TML's engine) and has a lot less... to worry about lol.

Honestly the biggest hurdle is remaking the comic panels in pixel portrait form. that's... a lot of art... but it will be fun! it's rewarding to see the characters move and make sound -it truly feels like they've come alive.

I've got a few things I have to regard about adapting the comic (not relating to assets, just game design vs. comic design sort of thing) and then I can really tackle this game and have it made.

Now, obviously, this game is not my highest priority. The comic it's based on is more important -and then Angel's Lullaby will always matter more. So, with development being more hands-off and loose, progress will be steady but slow.

that said, Angel's itself is slow to work on as I'm focusing all my attention on the battle system and that requires coding assistance. so that means New Royals will be getting more love than it will down the road.
