Right-o! You can #join us #now in the MS-DOS #Jam.
Any kind of game may enter as long as you need #DOS to run it (I will judge the entries as valid by checking if they run in #DOSBox).
Any genre goes (as long as it's not pornography). Although the jam officially starts in 13 hours, you may start writing your code right now, and don't forget tag your entry with #msdosjam
Now this picture was from #TurboPascal (as that is the language I use myself), but if you prefer #C or even #assembler, or rather #QBASIC or even #GWBASIC, that's all your choice! As long as it either compiles to DOS or its interpreter works in DOS, we're all cool.
Since we got nu quick game engines such as GoDot, Unity, Unreal, ClickTeam Fusion, etc. for DOS, making us all pretty much reliant on low level coding in this jam, I've decided to let the jam be running for a month.
I will see if I can feature all entries in the MS-DOS community, however if there are too many I may have to make a selection (for obvious reasons). I've decided to make an entry for this jam myself, and I've chosen to do so in Pascal (you didn't see that one coming,eh?) and to use the classic #TextMode, but if you rather use #CGA, #EGA or #VGA, hey, go ahead!! (Yes, yes, #hercules will also do).
Will more #jams come? Well that will also depend on #you.
Well folks, have #fun!
