March progress update

Hi!

T Master is here!

With another progress update regarding Twin Fates: APCA!

Chapter 3:

 So... Chapter 3 is done!

All gameplay sections are playable, although they might be a bit too easy, so a little bit of balancing is still needed.

All rooms are done.

All cutscenes are there.

All of the music is done!

Chapter 4 (The Last one!):

So with Chapter 3 now done I shifted immediately to make as much progress on Chapter 4 as possible. Here is a humble list of what I did in the past week or so:

The script for the dialogue and cutscenes is around 75% done.

Most of the soundtrack is in a "piano sketch" phase, with a few of them being fully done.

Unfortunately, no programming work has been done yet, neither have any of the sprites been made. My plan is to finish the script and all of the soundtrack and then jump straight into programming and all that stuff.

Chapter 3 took less time than I expected because I had a break from university, but now that the new semester has begun, I'm not sure how long Chapter 4 will take, but I'm pretty sure it won't be that long!

Steam plans!

So I thought it was impossible, but in hope for this game to succeed and get as many eyes as possible, it has to be on Steam.

The page is not up yet, but I want to have one up around mid to late July (I have no control over this, it cannot be earlier than this).

And because of this, there are plenty of new changes to the plan!

1. The game is going to be paid, not sure how much yet.

2. The game might have achievements!

3. I'm going to have to put a lot more polishing into it.

4. The release date is going to be pushed.

If the Steam page is up by mid to late July (with the trailer also), I want to release the game at least one month later (from September 1st to September 8th).

Things that will affect the release date:

Of course the game has to be finished before release, as bug-free and polished as possible, and also done with all the features I want in Chapter 4.

Another factor would be competition, primarily from releases like Deltarune Chapter 5, maybe even Garten of Banban 9, and possibly a new FNaF game.

Plus, of course, the game getting approved by Steam before release.

A piece of music:

Have a listen to this soundtrack from Chapter 2 (it's the last one). Not sure if I'm going to release Chapter 3 tracks, but we'll see!

And that's it!

I hope you liked the amazing news!

See ya next time!

the vikmo show is looking pretty good, can't wait to officially announce it in July, after a long hiatus I decided to recreate the game from scratch in the past 2 months to make it into something much better that shows my skills

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔
