Mini Progress Update: 5/4/25


It took pretty much a full day of development, but I finally got the code sorted out on the Party Select screen. Not only does it now showcase the skills that the costumes will have, but now you can click on the character and see their attack animation!

I also realized partway through the process that this whole "giving costumes their own skills" has opened up Pandora's Box.

These tweaked costumes are practically new characters.

There's 39 of them currently in the game.

If that isn't utter overkill, I don't know what is.

Anyways, I'm gonna take a short, well deserved break.

Next up

Still have to address a few tweaks to layering and test some other sidequests, but I think that we're back on track again.

Yeah, we're doing this.

New look, new direction.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Suppose it was about time that some of these skills got a little extra kick.

Figured it out.

Me: Man, I really wanted to have something released for the 10th anniversary, but I have nothing ready for it!

Clickteam: *drops trailer for Five Laps at Freddy's*

Me: *Finally remember that I still have a janky ace up my sleeve*

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!
