The beast talked to the human about the state of the underground, that monsters have gone mad over time and no longer think rationally.
She explains traps and how she survives in the ruins alone: scavenging.
The conversation breaks with a mound of something that looks mossy crawling towards them. Toriel stops and puts her enormous hand in front of the human, blocking her sight. The mound leaps at toriel faster than its heavy body looks like it would allow, and Toriel swipes it aside, also eerily quickly. It makes a splat on the side of a wall, adding a new crack to the already dilapidated cathedral.
She crouches down to the human, catching her breath.
She explains that monsters like that froggit, who attacked without question, are misguided and only follow survival instinct. They don't eat and cannot see, but their minds still think they need to eat.
She says that there will be more monsters ahead, and they will be even more ruthless and scary than the froggits are.
Biology - Froggit:
Their bodies are mounds of flesh and have no muscle, but the face on it's stomach appears through it's mouth controlling the joints it has left with mass force.
It is completely blind. If it doesn't move, it looks like a lumpy rock and uses this as camouflage.
