Decided to start a devlog because I have no more motivation and its hard to muster some while juggling with actual work and this is the only thing I'm interested in doing right now
Soundtrack
Is coming slow, i understand i wont be able to make something actually usable unless i have the actual game to put it to but general themes and sound design is being experimented with (as well as musical experience is always good)
Im currently plagued with Christopher Larkins work looping in my mind. The Hollow Knight OST is eating my musical confidence alive.

Game Mechanics
Right now a very simple weapon system works I'm trying to get weapons to remember their health I'm thinking how would weapons remember after you leave them in a room? would they respawn with perfect health or get remembered? i need to figure out how save files work before i go with this any further (I think). after that i might move on to enemies and some fun AI behavior I had a lot of fun writing the slime guy and the “roller-mine” guy
But anyway Game Saving should be my next move
Animation
I have been putting this off for a while. My illustration skills are good enough i just need to put in the time and get some sprites going, I might do all the animation on an iPad Pro because my desktop setup is not really ready for tons of Intuos action. I'll need to find a consistent method of keeping line-width the same width between all the characters. I feel like this is going to be my favorite and least favorite part of development.
Speaking of iPad Pro, MacOs has Universal Control now so file sharing between the two is better/more fun
Thats all I can think about, venting this out helps me think. Thanks for reading i hope to post more dev updates
