It has just been over a year since Zombie Shooter was created and released. It had a slow start compared to other games we’ve created although ZS is one of our most polished and re-playable games. We asked ourselves, why? Well a few reasons, many of which we have addressed in the update that will be released within a few days. This is definitely one of our favourite games to work on, the game is simple and easily repetitive, the sprites are nice and easy to create and just the game in whole is a fun experience. Here’s a few updates we’ve done, you’ll be able to test them and add yourself to the highscores table in no time!
When creating the game we decided to only go for two colours per sprite, we now have shading on all major sprites and will intend on making all sprites in the game have more than just two colours.
The game was too easy, and then got instantly too difficult, there was no real curve. The game is now 33% more difficult, zombies are tougher, new zombies can be found, upgrades cost more money, bullets lose power over distance and zombie parts now stay in the arena making it harder to see new zombies and items on the ground.
We’ve added a bunch of new clothing options, making not only the player but zombies and crowd members look more unique and real. Zombies also have new masks and facial items to scare you. There are a few more dog skins added, where the flesh of the dogs have came off and you can see the bone.
New guns! This game already has a huge array of weapons for you to choose from, and a lot of them are hidden behind a ‘research wall’, researching will enable you to unlock new guns and also allow the crowd members to more frequently throw weapons at you. Along with this, passing certain waves will also grant you free research.
