Chat Engine Rewritten
The old chat engine SUCKED and was very limited, didn't support multiple messages and there wasn't much to customise - I had to remake it.
By pressing [T] you open the "Quick Chat" menu, type whatever you want and quickly send your message!
Depending on the skin you're playing as, your voice and font will change. So if you are playing as sans, this is how it will look:
Profanity filter
I saw a comment asking if there's a profanity filter, and I took it personally.
Any swear words will be changed into a small sprite of a dog.
The Message Menu
If you go to Menu > MISC you can open the "Messages" tab which allows you to put effects on your messages and send them privately (same room) or to everyone.
The amount of options will increase in the future.
Commands & Secrets
I put a few secret commands and easters eggs into the chat, it might take a while before someone figures them out, but that's the point 
Daily Rewards
In the past, the daily rewards could only be unlocked in the main menu. That didn't make much sense because after all, you spend most of your time in the actual game.
Daily rewards can now be collected at any SAVE point.
When collecting a daily reward, you will be asked if you want to answer a trivia question for a bonus reward!
Saying No to Trivia
If you say No to the trivia, your reward will be a simple 5-12 GOLD (+ streak reward, more on that later).
The timer until next reward starts the time you collect it. So if you collected the reward at 10am today, tomorrow the next one will be available at 10am as well.
Saying Yes to Trivia
By answering correctly, you get either:
Random Low Tier Item and 2-9 GOLD (+streak reward)
8-16 GOLD (+streak reward)
By answering incorrectly however, you get 2-6 GOLD (+streak reward).
It's a high risk, high reward kind of system, in my opinion some questions are easy, and some are very hard.
The rewards might change in the future.
If you think the GOLD reward isn't a lot, you are wrong:
I don't want to inflate the economy, if the rewards are small, the prices of items, skins, accessories etc. are small as well!
Streak Reward
Every 3 days of your streak, you will get 1 more GOLD to your reward, up to a maximum of 10 GOLD (30 days)!
On paper it might seems like it ain't much but believe me, that's a lotta GOLD.
Quests
Quests are divided into two: Daily and Story.
Daily Quests are set when the game detects a new day. You get two very simple quests that you'll complete without even thinking about it while you play the game - that's why the reward isn't huge.
Daily Quests Rewards
Similar to daily rewards, you get either:
Low Tier Item
7-10 GOLD
The daily quests are divided into four categories:
- Talk to X, Find X item, Send X messages and Change your skin X times.
Talk to X
Find the NPC and talk to them.
Find X item
Find an item lying on the ground and pick it up. The item spawns randomly in a room around you. You do not get to keep it, obviously.
Send X messages and Change your skin X times
These are pretty self-explanatory.
In the future, the variety of daily quests will be increased.
Story Quests
Simply, these are quests given to you by the NPCs.
The purpose of this is to make it easier for users to remember what they have to do.
Other Minor Changes
I completely rewrote the gamepad-support-engine, now the game allows you to play with any gamepad! I also improved the multiplayer engine, once again.
I worked on many other things but they're not completely ready to be shown yet!
I was hoping that by now I could do a public test of the game, but as it turned out, some of these features took much longer than I expected, I didn't want to rush and I made sure everything works and looks as I designed it.
Who knows, maybe at the end of next month I'll put something together! We'll see.
