Game
Fnaf : Blackout

Not really a devlog, but also kind of a devlog? Just want to share some updates and try and explain some stuff that's bothering me personally-

For updates, the game's technically in a playable state! I still intend to tweak, update, and change some things around but there IS a game here, which is the farthest I've gotten in a while with Blackout lol. The game's still not quite near a release, or even a release estimation, especially with my situation and on and off motivation. Huge thinks to those who have offered their help and feedback on what I have so far!

I also want to mention some differences between the new version and old version, just to be clear that I'm not re-releasing the same game, some of the current changes include
-Story and lore elements, nothing complicated though
-A post-night minigame section that I scrapped in the original
-Graphics and mechanics update
-Settings, possibly not many but I wanna have more options for the game
-Eastereggs of course!

Not a lot but I might think of more as I go, but I think that's still a pretty good distinction!

I also wanna mention the graphics, I decided to fall back to the original idea of trying to mimic Scott's style, but with more personal stylization as well. Despite all my other style attempts, I decided this one best fit the original vision of the game, was more fun to do, and sped up development.

A couple other things I wanna explain, "Project : Fnaf ; Blackout : Rewrite" was going to be a joke and a reveal of what I was working on, which was of course a new Blackout, which I then forgot about and accidentally revealed the new-new stuff so here we are lol. What I was working on during that was, as said before, not something I found fitting for the game though, so don't expect anything from that anymore.

Also the constant "hey I'm doing something" only to go quiet and then not have anything when I come back to say the same thing. I've been tossing around so many different ideas that I wanted to do with the game, and while this isn't a SUPER popular game with loads of people waiting on me (still appreciate all of you though, I never expected more than maybe 15-20 followers!), I still feel bad that I've just been a "yes-no-maybe-so" game. This is another reason I settled on this new style, so I can finally get the game I *wanted* out without trying to make INSANE graphics, which should NOT be my focus (or anyone elses, make the game you wanna make!).

Extra apology for not posting many updates, I've never been good at being on social media, for better or for worse lol

Thanks for reading my rambling, again I appreciate that I'm somehow still getting eyes on this game- it does mean a lot!

TL;DR

Blackouts gonna finally be made the way I wanted it and at a quicker pace, sorry for so many on's and off's!

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Another house i made long time ago.

Call it 'wrong turn'!🚫 The feeling of running into a house with only one exit🚪, and being doomed to die. #pixelart #pixelartist #pixelartwork #art #pixel #indiegame #IndieGameDev #indieartist

If you have more of an acquired taste, the restaurants in Niravasi have you covered! Maybe skip the salad bar, though.
