Old new build: doublecheck!


So I THOUGHT I uploaded the boss build but I quickplayed around and the bosses didn’t seem to be there. So I stabilized my dev build and uploaded it. that means you also get a few fixes fo free. Let me know if there’s any unforseen issues with the build, screenshot thursday’s today so I want this game purring along. SO EXCITED!

  • Updated the basic ‘shot’ weapon to be compatible with the new weapons upgrade system. This is mostly so cores can now use the better weapons, you can’t directly upgrade the ‘shot’ weapons.

  • Fixed some offsets for the basic core, type 2 ‘hunter’ missiles now launch from the correct side.

  • Gave hunter missiles a longer flight time. Also upgradeable!

So on missiles; right now they’re not very powerful for players because of lack of DPS. I find when using them, I can’t kill enemies fast enough to keep up. But, when facing them, the world is a hell of missiles and explosions.

I”m thinking I’ll be adding a missile warning UI for the player so its much more feasible for the player to fight missiles. I’ll also probably up the salvo time between missiles but also up damage. That way players have a breather between enemy salvos but have to use it to be better at dodging.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
