Otto Octavius has been Brandon’s childhood idol since he was 6 years old. Other kids would talk about Sonic or Iron Fox, but Brandon dreamed of growing up to be just like him. There’s a good reason why; once a renowned scientist, he was an aspiring man with the ambitious hope of using his research to make the world a better place. He was recognized for his work in the fields of robotics and was the creator of Octavius' Laws of Robotics, as well as the Tako spline. Later in his life, Octavius became an instructor and the head professor at HTA (Horizon Technology Academy) to mentor the new generation of prodigies. Like Brandon, one of these former students, Christopher, admired him greatly. Though Octavius was passionate about his work, his daughter Ophelia was the light of his life. He supported her up to adulthood when she would become the test pilot for Oscorp under Norman Osborn. One day, Osborn created Project "Kūkan", an experimental portal design meant to revolutionize teleportation technology. However, during the experimental test run, the portal experienced a malfunction and was forcibly shut down, trapping Ophelia in the space between the portals. Octavius, who was present during the test, snapped and tried to assault Osborn angrily, blaming him for losing his little daughter. The event catalyzed a transformation in Octavius; he began to descend into madness, growing more unstable and obsessed with revenge towards Osborn. Ultimately, this would lead to Osborn discarding any semblance of his former self and the birth of the villainous entity known as Dr. Octopus. Some of you guys should already know that HTA exposition hall exploded back in 2016, but what you guys don’t know is that Octavius started the fire, faked his death, and left Christopher to ‘die in a far’ (pun intended). 2 years later, Dr. Octopus made his 1st move; researching the backgrounds of 5 major supervillains locked inside the R.A.F.T. (Electro, Rhino, Scorpion, Vulture, and Mr. Negative) so that he can offer them deals in order to work for him. After breaking them out, he became notorious for forming the biggest threat in Sakuramento history: the Sinister Six… and puts his plan into motion: attack all of Osborn's holdings within the city-state, unleash the Devil's Breath on the populace, and make Osborn admit to his secrets. Spider-Wolf foils most of this (Just to get revenge on Otto for his beloved father’s death), though is powerless to stop the release of the Devil's Breath.
