Poll results!


It’s been a few days, so I think it’s time to make the call. Thanks to everyone who participated, btw. :3

As for the results, it was rather close… but majority vote is for a larger overworld!

The layout is gonna remain mostly the same, except the map will (hopefully) feel a little less cluttered than the original one did by giving a little extra space in general. It’s worth pointing out, however, that this will not be affecting other locations in the game (such as the Halloween Backstage or the Flipside levels).

Anyways, I better get back to it. I’ve got a lot of world to make still. ‘Till next time!

Next up

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

Motivation has returned in a substantial enough way.

Not quite the fix I've been talking about for the past few weeks, but it's at least progress.

New look, new direction.

Figured it out.

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

How about we change things up?

New project is having a fun, early outing.

Still have to address a few tweaks to layering and test some other sidequests, but I think that we're back on track again.
