PROGRESS UPDATE (9/29/2024)


Hello everyone! Been quite a while since our last update, hasn't it? Well, it is reassuring to tell all of you that there's a good reason for that, our team has been hard at work to get the full Flooded Temples Demo ready for release. All of this said, we have never been closer to preparing the Temples for its full release. To give you all a good idea as to how close we truly are, here are some rough estimates in terms of progress.

Music: 99%. We have made absolutely fantastic progress in terms of music, so much so, that in total we only have two songs left to go. One which will be a remake of one of our older songs, and the other which is a battle theme. After that, the OST for the Flooded Temples will be officially complete!

This song has been updated by former Musician Michael_Langley, using Spudward's original version as a base to give it a more desolate, creepy and overall eerie feeling to it.

The team unanimously agreed that this song needed more of an oomph to it, as the original version sounded very lackluster by comparison. Thankfully now former Musician RavenJess27 sought out to fix her original version into what we have now.

With all of this discussion on Music out of the way, I'd say it's about time we go over some of the other aspects of the development process shall we? And what better place to start then in the Presentation department, the Sprites.

Sprites: 90%. Although there are still plenty of ways to go, a majority of the overworld assets have been completed and/or are in the process of being completed. At this current moment our focus is to finish the remaining overworld assets, as well as eventually moving on to the Battle Sprite portion of our tasks. We are willing to showcase some of those assets today, however to avoid giving away as many spoilers as humanly possible, we have decided to be careful which assets to showcase. And what better asset to showcase than our good pal Gloomp :3 (Sprites by _pancakez)

Everybody loves Gloomp, the team most certainly does. What the importance of Gloomp is? The world may never know.

This was an old Background for battles that occured in the 8th Room of the Mini-Demo, however it has not seen the light of day until now. As we are going through and remastering certain aspects of the scripts and/or sprites from the initial Mini Demo release, we figured now would be as good of a time as ever to give you all a nice glimpse as to what we have in store.

And would you look at that? Another sneak peek into the Rooms for the future full release of the Flooded Temples (Made by AxM.) What purpose does this room have? What evil and wicked dangers does this room entail? Stay tuned for the full release of the Flooded Temples Demo to find out.

Script: 88%. Progress on scripting the Room's have been coming along swimmingly, there are still rooms, boss fights and interactions in need of being fully scripted out and finalized, however the progress rate has never been smoother. Although we unfortunately cannot show much without running the risk of potential spoilers, stay tuned. For when the Flooded Temples Demo fully releases, you will see the effort from the Writing department displayed tenfold once you see the characters words on the screen.

All in all, for as admittedly shorter as this Devlog was, we hope you enjoyed the content we had to share. We would love to thank each and every single one of you for your continued support over the years!
