In this report there's a video attached to it which shows most of what I did with the overworld stuff, the movement of the player was already done at the time I started doing the dialog system, since I needed material to test the triggers and stuff with, I did the dialog system so then I could do the tests with the objects.
All stuff in there is totally customizable, from stepping above the interaction objects or them acting as walls, to functions and stuff that move the objects around.
The trigger events (which for now they only change you of room) act as interact objects but make their coded stuff upon touching the player, I plan to trigger some cutscenes with that later on when I finish with the entity objects.
The entity objects have a testing sprite but they take the form of actual objects like rocks or pressure plates, so it's not shown, these have more properties as these are meant to be moved around either by code or by the player as demonstrated by pushing the blocks.
The room where there's a little puzzle has some funky effect which involves having a background of around 20 alpha (out of 255 of course), which makes for a cool void effect kind of in my opinion.
Testings are going nice, more features are still yet to be coded in the object entities so Imma be with those a little before moving onto trying cutscenes, all you see is fully customizable, the dialog system itself as well.
I have no rush in finishing all this, but when something is done I will keep writing these reports, they may not seem useful to whoever is reading this, but it's useful for me to keep a log of what has been done.
PD: I just noticed it's 1 AM, damn, not again.
End of report.
