Report #13 - 26 Aug 2024


The video in this one is a ton longer, I should have done this report before so it had less content, oh well.

I finished the whole collisions system, however it seems I missed a tiny detail with it, rotated collisions with entities flipped in negative scales, whoops, will fix that, should be easy as putting a negative sign... the problem is to know where XD.

Well, the report was gonna be only about the collisions, they took me a little to perform, I'm happy with the results, I expected it to be slow and very buggy, in the end alongside the collisions I added some entities to showcase some of the dialog stuff I did make and how the entity object can be played with to do various stuff actually.

Next up I will need to make perhaps another room for cutscenes as I ran out of space in this one already, and increasing the size of that one will be perhaps a bit annoying to navigate through.

You can do most of what the entities do with interaction objects but the only thing is that you won't be able to show any sprite with them, that's so you use the entities for that purpose, they hold stuff unique to them somehow.

Well that's it for this report, making good progress, I have basically all I need to setup cutscenes, I just need to do them to see if all is working nicely and properly, that shouldn't take much but school is taking some time from me now, but as said before I have no rush on finishing this, let's take it slow, after that Imma start seeing how encounters will go.

Undermaker release v1.1.0

Took me a while but finally it works perfectly! I'm far from done however, there's still stuff to implement and adjust, for now just have this, and yeah still documenting, soon enough...
