Roland Chektov Reveal -2-

Now, time to go into his (planned) moveset.
Roland takes on the main role of a protector and support, able to intercept attacks, soften enemies with DoT’s, and then reduce their stats and possibly stun them.

Roland is a Tactician, Granting him Tactical Maneuvers when attacking or being attacked by a Blaster, granting him an extra turn once per turn

He has 3 passives, which you’ve seen. My aimed rule of thumb is one unique passive, one general passive, and then a situational one, such as a form of flight.

Unstable Repulsor Flight is the “Situational” one, it acts as flight, evading ground attacks, but with a chance to fail (20% ATM, may adjust) but coming with a chance (30% atm) to evade a melee attack.

Here’s the Plan is his unique passive, not only granting him an immunity to fear, but the ability to grant allies a period of fear immunity when recharging. (For those who didn’t play MAA, it uses a Stanima system that must be refilled by spending a turn “Recharging” but there are things that can mess with Recharge)

Split Mind is his general passive, and will be shared with at least one future character if this gets going like I hope. Split Mind is a passive that goes to characters with a fractured Psyche, be it multiple personalities, some other mental issue, or even a mind completely alien to anything a human mind could process. Split mind not only makes Roland immune to Psychic assaults, but also causes backlash damage to anyone who tries.

Lv.1 The first move Roland has is his trusty “Laced Dart Gun” this is a low-damage, single-target attack that applies “Chaos Shot”, a returning debuff that gives a chance to apply a variety of DoTs, or Damage over Time effects. This attack only hits once, meaning one only needs to dodge one hit to evade the DoTs.

Lv.2 The second move Roland learns, when he hits lv.2, is “Energy-Infused Blade” drawing a blade charged by his suit, he makes two swipes, applying Lazer Burn, a new DoT, and Bleeding, which acts the same, stacking 3 times, and causing damage on hostile actions made by the victim in addition to the normal time for DoTs.

Lv.6 A few levels later Roland acquired “Tactical Maneuvers” (Don’t get it confused with the class buff) It’s a protect action, granting Roland two buffs. The first, “Zero-Point Protocol” causes him to intercept both Single-Target and AoE attacks launched at allies, and “Respite”, removing 1 debuff from all allies whenever he takes damage from an attack.

Lv.9 Finally, Roland acquires “Old World Strike” Utilizing Martial Arts he’s learned from his old organization, he launches a pinpoint blow, debilitating enemies. his attack has “Knockout Punch”, an attack status that makes this attack stun the target for a turn if the enemy had the debuff “Combo Setup” (He lacks this debuff, so he’ll need to be set up) and applies “Pressure Points” which works similar to Chaos Shot, but instead of applying DoTs, it applies Stat Debuffs, able to apply a mix of “Weakened, Exposed, Dizzy, or Slowed”, which reduces Attack, Deence, Accuracy, and Evasion, respectively.

So, what would you all like to hear about next. Let me know, thanks!

(Also, still trying to find a fitting system, and suggestions would be great)

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
