Sedarias in His Dark Glory

Since the recent release of our second Supporter Pack that provides cosmetics to all Companions, we often get asked if the packs include new apparel for the DLC Companions. The answer is a resounding “yes”: both Sedarias and Javek (who you get by owning the Old Acquaintances DLC), as well as Vorax (who everyone gets for free), have a cosmetic associated with each Supporter Pack!

Let’s take a look at the knight Sedarias today, and see what he gets to wear should you choose to support us via picking up one of these packs.

For the ‘Ruinous’ Supporter Pack, the black knight’s appearance took inspiration from the Iron Guard, the elite bodyguards and enforcers of Scrapheap’s focal point of power: the Iron Tower. These warriors are known to pick and choose from the best scrap metal pieces the scavengers of the mountains bring in, and fabricate crude but effective plate armor from those. Sedarias’s appearance from ‘Ruinous’ follows this, granting the skeletal knight a more ironclad appearance than ever before.

For ‘Cultured’, we took inspiration from the diverse peoples and cultures of the Riven Realms, but for Sedarias, we actually went over and beyond – his knightly attire is based on the armor of paladins from the Green Continent. There, the Sacred League fights a seemingly endless war to keep the forces of Xeryn’s Empire at bay, blocking their path of destruction that would annihilate their realms. The Paladins of Viran, a sacred knightly order that wields holy incantations, is a keystone in the League’s efforts. In fact, the Knights of the Black Sun were created and named partly in mockery of these enemies of the Twelve. All too often, however, these paladins are slain, and their armor taken by Imperial forces. Thus came the design idea to see Sedarias in one of these recently appropriated and tainted plate armor sets.

Naturally, to be able to change the appearance of Sedarias, you must own him as a main campaign Companion through the DLC Old Acquaintances, which adds him and Javek as main Companions to your campaign with their own, lengthy personal questlines.

As ever, we are grateful for all the support and kindness we get from you. Until next time, keep being awesome, keep safe, and conquer the wasteland!
