After a lot of time getting all the new content ready to go (and fixing a ton of issues that happened after I said that release date out loud... it's like some sort of curse. >->), the Showtime Build is about as ready as it's going to be!
New Content:
-The original gang's all here!
14 new characters can be added to the party: Phantom Marionette, Golden Freddy, Paperpals, Nightmare Freddy, Nightmare Bonnie, Nightmare Chica, Plushtrap, Springtrap, RXQ, Funtime Foxy, Nightmare Fredbear, Nightmare, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie
-11 new skills can be used: Mystery Box 2, Rainy Day 2, Haunting, Mimic Ball*, Freddles, Bad Pizza, Springlocks, Happy Jam 2, Cosmic Song, Toxic Bite 2, and Mega Bite
(*For the sake of it not being too overpowered, Mimic Ball won't copy its own placement... as well as...)
-Showtime is here! Once unlocked, unleash you character's hidden power and eviscerate your foes with this powerful 8-member team attack!
-Collect all 40 characters to receive a nostalgic (and surprisingly dangerous) reward!
(Oh, and for the first time, you can enable/disable it in the Bytes menu!)
-Max's Salvaged Goods is open for business! Unlike other shops, Max specializes in offering items that can drastically effect gameplay. (In the case of the current shop, by offering up Showtime and Pulse Lures.)
-The world opens up! You can now access Deep Metal Mine, Pinwheel Circus, and Pinwheel Funhouse!
(As well as the subtunnel to get to Pinwheel Circus.)
(And the warp in Lilygear Lake.)
(Note: Lolbit will appear in the proper spots on the map, but the shops themselves are not ready.)
-To save on memory, three secret warps have been added for easier traversal of the overworld. They're a b!t glitChy but I'm sure a$ l%ng @s Ywfo_^#>>.>>___&* TWRE___<<<ERR-+fwjf3eferbe fine.
-14 new chips can be collected, offering a variety of benefits:
Evercomet: weak, Block: Jumpscare, Run: Luck, Evercomet: Strong, Auto: Giftboxes, Auto: Regen, Find: Characters, Curse: Status, Freddle: Fury, Auto: Shield, Auto Mimic, Counter: Bite, Pizza: Fury, and Block: Unscrew
-12 classic enemies make their arrival: Rot, Blacktrap, Tombstack, Dogfight, Ballboy, Meringue, >>>>>>, %_^^&(, !2222, Redbear, White Rabbit, and Tangle
-2 new enemy types have been spotted roaming about: F0RG0TT3N and Bluebird
-2 classic Bosses block your path:
Browboy and Mad Endo
-A VERY strange enemy type has been seen roaming about in one of the more dangerous areas:
Not quite sure how a child could be dangerous, but...
-You're not the only one who got a buff! The following skills are now useable by enemies:
Toxic Bite, Gloom, Balloons, Snowball, Hot Cheese, Esc Key, Unscrew, Bite and Bite 2
-A new option is now available in the pause menu: you can now toggle how you encounter enemies! Choose between three modes:
XL, where enemy glitch sprites roam the map (which you're probably familiar with if you've tried one of the previous builds)
Classic, where enemy encounters randomly happen while you move about the overworld;
and Redacted, where a new button is added to the HUD, allowing you to choose when to fight!
(Might change the name of that last one if it causes problems.)
-You can also adjust music volume
-When catching a Gift Box in the Fishing Hole, it is now possible to get Faz Coins, or to even trigger a Challenger encounter!
-A new item is usable in the Fishing Hole: Pulse Lures!
When used, a Pulse Lure will attract the attention of any fish it passes by, effectively giving you a window of opportunity to snag a better catch!
(Note: This is a limited use item, and you can only carry 3 total.)
-The 2019 Costume Contest winning designs have been added in! Bring a few coins to Possy's Costume Shop and pick up Princess Chica and Glitched Spring Bonnie today!
Fixes:
Battle:
-Adjusted the health values of recent additions to properly match up with their position in the roster
-Adjusted initial party skill charge system so that players don't have to wait as long (you will still need to wait a few seconds before acting, unless you're fighting Dummy.)
-Changed Quickstart: Party so that it delays the enemy team rather than improve the speed of your own
-Fixed values so Jumpscare works with the new system
-Adjusted deploy rates for Pizza Wheel and Pizza Wheel 2
-Adjusted values so that Unscrew/Unscrew 2 are less likely to insta-kill enemies
-Added a timer to Poppers, allowing them to set off after 20 seconds when only a few are active.
(Though they will still instantly be primed if you still set down 20+ at one time.)
-Adjusted damage values for Mic Toss and Hot Cheese
-Finally fixed the issue where skill text would clip when swapping teams
-Fixed an (apparently) overlooked bug where Foxy would not use the proper moveset in slot 7, effectively nullifying the use of skills from both him and the 8th member of a party
-Adjusted values of challenger/mini boss scaling health to fit new additions
-Added the previously missing names for the Blacktomb Yard enemies
-Adjusted health values of enemies to provide more variety
(Will probably be further adjusted in a later update.)
-Levels, tokens and coins will now pull faster on the results screen. On top of increasing the base pull speed, Levels and Tokens will also pull faster if their amount is over 20, and slow down when under it.
(Not 100% sure how stable/reliable the level one will be, but it will beat waiting to get your rewards.)
-R3CYC73D will now spawn in Deep Metal Mine and Pinwheel Circus instead of in Lilygear Lake
(since I honestly can't think of something that fits right now, the 4th enemy type will just be more Colossal.)
-Changed the method of encountering Challengers, limiting their spawn window to the moment after a battle is finished and the player is sent back to the overworld.
-On top of that, changed the encounter value config so that it is a hybrid of the previous versions of itself: most of the time it will pull from the zone's usual character selection, but there is a small chance that it will go up a tier/zone check list, giving you a chance you to access characters from a different zone.
Party Select:
-Applied same health value adjustments here as well
-Overhauled the configuration of the party select buttons.
Aside from being easier to select and displaying a much easier-to-discern animation when selecting a slot, the system works closer to the original selection methods.
Hitting reset will (currently) set the slots back to the original 8 party members, while right clicking will toggle on a slot set and a further left click will allow you to select a character. (TL;DR, I've basically removed the redundant step of moving the selects above the roster.)
-Adjusted debug mode so that Billy and Stinkbomb can be engaged at any time. Also shows their current challenger unlock buff and health.
-Added additional text to explain how/what debug does
Overworld:
-Chests also got an adjustment to token pull rates. The pull rate is fixed by the amount a chest has, rather than a scaling type.
(May change later.)
-Added in more of the previously missing collisions (namely rocks in the mines), as well as additional décor and some new temp sprites
-Added in additional zone triggers for Lilygear Lake/Choppy's Woods borders
-Added in a new cooldown failsafe system to (hopefully) prevent players from being sent to miniboss fight right after engaging one.
If you end up colliding with a glitched chest while in this cooldown phase, you will receive 500 tokens instead of engaging. This cooldown will count down while changing frames.
Bytes:
-Adjusted display of backdrops so it is much easier to tell which bytes are currently active
Misc:
-Updated animations for Lolbit
-Changed Token and Coin icons
-Updated title screen roster
Known Bugs:
-Aware that some attacks (like Springlocks) might not properly cast when used. Will endeavor to have this fixed in a future update.
-Enemy glitch sprites will occasionally not properly collide with the player/engage battle while in XL mode. Leaving the overworld frame and going back should fix it until I can sort it out behind the scenes.
-Player Select buttons might not display a swap/prevent you from swapping other members. Leaving the frame and coming back should provide a temporary fix to this.
And that's about it for this one.
Hope you enjoy the update!
