First of all, happy new year to you all. Hope 2018 will be a good one for ‘ya.
There’s not a whole lot to cover this month without running the risk of spoilers, but I’ll give you a few insider tidbits nonetheless! Something public, however, is our new Twitter page. So swing by here and follow us for updates on the game outside of these devlogs!
A few new enemy types are in place, too! One such fiend being the ‘Fallen’: a malevolent creature of origins similar to that of the Freak itself. This guy will appear when you least expect it, firing smaller creatures known as ‘Grabbers’. As for them? They’ll launch themselves headfirst into you, sacrificing themselves if it means that the Freak will earn the kill from you. Suffice to say, you’ll need to keep an eye out for additional danger, even under pursuit.

We also have a new voice actor working with us, who’ll be providing the voice of Carmen. She’s an incredibly talented individual who really knows how to bring our protagonist to life. So hey, here’s an official welcome to the club, Alexis Monteith.
On the topic of audio, almost every sound effect in the game is also getting a major overhaul. To be fair, there’s only so much you can do with public domain audio - and as such, we’ve decided to get our sound guys to kick it up a notch with original sounds instead; giving the atmosphere of the game a bump up in the process.
But for now, I think that’ll do it. We’ll be keeping any forthcoming devlogs reasonably quiet for the time being while we focus on getting the game finished.
