Hey there, explorers.
It’s been a busy few months for Shrouded and the crew.
Now, for the record - I’m not a fan of starting with a shameless plug, but hey; if you’re after the most recent news surrounding the game, it’s gonna be in your best interests.
Progress on the game is currently in the fine turning phase. A few areas are being shuffled around to create a more fluid flow for the game, and some of the visual aspects (tilesets namely) are receiving touches here and there to make them more appealing to the eye. And, of course, bugs. We’re hard at work ironing those out, too. Thankfully, nothing game breaking is present, but we still want this to be as polished of an experience as possible for you. Hell, you deserve it for your patience.
The audio department has been hard at work, too! Our ever-incredible composers, Liam Wells and Noah McKnight have been busy fine tuning and enhancing the game’s soundtrack. Just to provide some clarity on what’s going on there (or why we have multiple composers): Noah’s work entails of a hauntingly beautiful score of piano compositions to set the mood whilst Carmen and Charlie explore the twisted paths of the haunted Library; whereas Liam’s compositions are focused on providing a dark, gritty, almost mechanical ambience to really make you, as a player, feel unsettled, uneasy, and utterly filled with dread at each and every turn. Both Liam and Noah’s works compliment one another perfectly in creating the atmosphere of Shrouded, and I just want to thank each of them yet again for their incredible talents. You guys rock.
Until next time, here’s a little piece of artwork from our art guru, Moua Yang, to whet your appetites some.
Stay Savage,
~Crimson
