Game
Outcasts

So, I know it's strange to do an anniversary kinda thing for the demo of my game, but why not?

One year ago today, the Outcasts Gamejolt page was shared, as well as the demo for the game. It felt really magical because the concept of this project is like six years old now, so it kinda holds a special place in my heart.

The demo is pretty old now, and very inaccurate to the story, but I still think it's alright, and it'll give you an idea of what the gameplay will look like in the full release.

In the year that's gone by, a lot of progress has been made! Some sprites were revamped (as can be seen in some of the above images), the menu has been redone, the rooms have been changed to be much more reliable (there was a glitch where the game would wrap you back around to the current room. Never encountered it in the demo, though), I've gotten better at writing dialogue, in my opinion, human enemies were added to the game, I've started working on the endings, and I'm sure a whole lot will change before the full release.

Thank you so much to the few who kept up, even something as little as liking my devlogs has fueled my motivation over the past year, and I appreciate the support!

Be sure to check out @ERROR989 and @TheMuffinMan343 . Without them, the world of Outcasts would never have existed.

Thanks for reading this post, as well. It's crazy to think that anything would ever become of this project, but here I am, actually creating the game I envisioned for six years.

Later!
