So I bought Spine2D a week ago.
I’ve been working on implementing it plus updating the movement slightly plus creating the design for a tribe in the game, but that’s for later…
So I thought I’d just drop off a demo for it and get some feedback on how the player movement feels.
Note: If you get a warning about the program being unkown simply press on on ‘more info’ and run anyway.
There are still a few issues such as the lack of smooth transistions between animations but that’ll be fixed soon.
Controls
AD - Move Horisontally
Space - Jump
S - Drop from holding onto a ledge
How to ledge grab
You must hold down the direction key you want to ledge grab to. Just jump towards a block that is far higher than the player.
How to walljump
Jump at a wall and hold down the direction key that is towards the wall. Now to walljump while sliding on the wall, simply release that key and right after releasing it press the other horisontal direction key.
It might take a bit of practice to get walljump right, but after a few minutes it shouldn’t be too hard.
