(This is an update to the following article: https://gamejolt.com/p/subjective-list-fnaf-world-fan-game-recommendations-my-personal-ssyj59zj)
This really is throwback season, is it not? I'm just relooking at games I played and rethinking them. Well, no, actually, I'm looking at games I placed badly. Mainly, the ones I feel bad about. The ones where I have some sort of remorse, you know? Like I haven't done the job right.
When I played the RPG Maker games, some were buggy with wrapper. Some played poorly. Most had the same issues over, and over, and over again. The engine... I don't like it at all.
But one game made me feel like the rating wasn't correct. Like I screwed something up. That game is Restocked by @FnafTheVendorTrio . So this time around, I booted it up with VM. Needless to say, the experience was smoother.
So... lemme update my thoughts on this game specifically. I retried the others but my opinion stays the same on them and on every other RPG maker game I found. Not this one, though.

My new thoughts
There are still the same problems. I played more of it but I still got the same problems as before. The battles are still way too long, but worst offender of the engine is that, because I lost a mini game in Area 1, it deleted all of my progress. Gone. Reduced to atoms, because I didn't save. I forgot to. I didn't think that would happen.
However... what little did I play, I started to have fun. The moves are thought out. I... I like the style. Dammit, I like the style so much, I just wanna hug the characters. And the moves, their movements, everything is so adorable. It melts my heart to see them.
But... but the battle system is still the same, right? Wouldn't it be hypocritical to change my point of view like this?
I don't know.
I have been thinking about this. This doesn't sit right with me.
It feels like it's not deserving to be this low. It's criminal. It's not even mentioned in the main article, dammit. I left all the RPG Maker games in a footnote of an article. How is that fair? But I left them there to not just berate them collectively because I wrote that article.
I don't know, truly.
I wish I did.
So I'll stop following my brain for a second, and ask myself what the heart says.
While I feel conflicted, I'm not putting it there. I gotta take a stance, I feel like. No wishy-washy half roads. Where's it going?
...
...
...
Funk it.
The game is going in Recommended. I'm not putting it in Highly because the engine sucks. If the style was transferred to the OG FNaF World or the Fixed .mfa, this would be at the top of my list. It would literally be one of my most favorite fan games. The engine drops the rating harshly.
But... not that harshly.
Congratulations for the promotion, @FnafTheVendorTrio !

So, what do you think? Do you find this fair or unfair? I'd love to know too!
