Teaser + Q&A!


Folks!

I appreciate your patience on this. Testing is going pretty well and I am getting some really valuable feedback on the game. I expect the release will be sooner rather than later, but I want to make sure that nothing goes unchecked & nothing feels unfinished. The teaser is inspired from this.

I am working adamantly on making everything feel as fleshed out, customizable and interesting as possible. I don't want to spoil everything, so I won't go into much detail like the last ones. I really want the game to feel fresh and exciting for both new and returning players. I only hope the wait will be worth it.

With that being said, I am going to do a little Q&A session for the people interested who may have a question and want the opportunity to ask it. I will also answer some questions I've either already gotten or I used my inherited psychic powers to predict it- let's get started!

Q: Can we see what element a skill is?

A: Yes, skills now have an icon in the description that corresponds to their element. Normally it was still rather obvious what it was but that wasn't always the case, so it was implemented so there was no doubt about it. Non-elemental and Almighty attacks simply don't have one for their distinction.

Q: Can we see what skill-type a skill is?

A: On the previous posts, you could only tell after you had already done the attack. This was better than before, but it's better to know that before you get the move off. You can now press a key in battle and in the menu to check the skill-type of each move. Definitely helps you plan ahead! When you deal damage to foes, the color of the damage number will correspond to the skill type. Red for Physical, blue for Magic, and green for Certain Hit.

Q: How many new characters are there?

A: A bunch. Just off the top of my head, there's 13 new characters and some have received hefty reworks to make them more useful.

Q: Does Ennard transf-

A: Yes. He transfers his passives over when you go to the evil route now.

Q: What about hard mode and other modes?

A: Hard mode is harder. NG+ may or may not receive an update, it is very low priority... and thirdly, yes, there is a new game mode you can select at the start. It will likely make for a very interesting challenge.

Q: Buddy, chum, pal, Mr. Ashton ioi... just how much has really changed!?!?

A: I don't think it's a stretch to say that most of the game just feels a lot more polished and fluid to play. I think the new customization that players can have added a lot to that. On top of that, there's new bosses, tons and tons of new gear, skills, characters, reworks, maps... it goes on. It feels like a brand new game in some ways, at least to me. I only hope you enjoy all the changes. :)

Q: How many other fangames do I need to play to understand everything?

A: In truth, a basic rundown of Sivelos' games is honestly enough, coupled with my own games, but I'd have a massive walmart shopping list if I had to list everything to play to get all the references! If you've been around for a while, you've probably already gone through what you needed to do. So... don't worry about it!

Q: Will you do other games after this?

A: I think some of you likely don't know, but last year, me and two pals made a WIP remake of BDS for a gamejam. I still intend on working with them to get that game done once we're all available to do so. You can find it here. Go try it if you haven't already! So the short answer is yes, at least, I intend to. The long answer is you shouldn't expect any more solo projects from me.

Q: How many crafting items are there??

A: Yes.

Q: I've never played EVE before. What kind of game is this?

A: Do you like 50+ hour long RPG's? Do you like turn based battles? Do you like equipment-based strategy? Do you like the feeling of obtaining god level gear to effortlessly destroy your enemies? Then this may just be the game for you.

Seriously though, it's a game I've spent literal years working on at this point. It's a lot more focused on gameplay and emotional elements with the classic goofyness mixed inbetween. If you're going into this expecting the classic FNaFb experience, you will likely not get it here. Fair warning! I made this primarily for my own fun and enjoyment, I just hope others feel the same way. :) And if not, that's okay! I am just one guy making this in his free time with some occasional help from others. I am more than willing to admit that humorous dialogue is NOT my strong suit, so I placed a lot more emphasis on other areas. If I wrote something in the game that's funny, it's probably unintentional-

Q: We demand our FNaFb juices. When is the release!?!?

A: Patience you must have, my young Padawan. I am working a full-time job and work on this when I am able & have the motivation to do so. With that being said, I do anticipate the release to be fairly close, but I'm not going to give time frames on anything as there is still plenty of testing to be done for a bigboy game and lots of things still to be added and changed. I appreciate you all for your continued support, I will do my best to live to those expectations :)
