The adventure-games are coming!

The adventure-games are coming!

What you're seeing here, is a single map-sector of a sample-game-engine which has been made using the new 2022-edition of "RPGMakerPPT3D™".

So what's new?

  1. The manual-map-navigation engine has been entirely rewritten to take full-advantage of the Slide Master. This means that you no-longer have to fiddle with alignment and the likes when designing your game's map sectors. Now, you can just focus on designing your map as a whole from within the Slide Master, and when you're ready to assign those areas to sectors of your in-game world, all you'll need to do is leave the Master View, select the slides that all share a map-sector, and apply it using the Layout menu under the Home-tab of the Ribbon!

  2. Manual-map-navigation dependencies are now optional! Now, you'll only need to copy-in the original parent twenty-nine-slide-array from your game's code to the file containing the data for the final game! The dependencies are still offered, but the style and speed of your workflow are finally completely up to you now!

  3. Collision-boundary-management is so much easier now! In the prior version of "RPGMakerPPT3D™", you had to manage collision-boundaries by going into the Action Settings and removing the hyperlinks for each and every impassable map-cell in your entire game. However, now, as long as the main slide-view is focused in the PowerPoint-editor, you can simply play a super-fun little counting-game with the TAB, Delete, Page-Up, and Page-Down keys, and you'll have an entire map-sector's collision-boundaries all set-up in about three minutes!

  4. The appearances of the map-cells and their associated navigation-controls are now on two separate channels, thanks to the fact that the map is now managed entirely from the Slide Master! This means you don't have to fidget around with layering-settings just to add a character- or object-model to any given scene, as they can now, including 3D models, be added directly onto your map instead, so that the controls always stay on top!

  5. You can now add globally-location-aware events to your map, such as an animation-trigger that lets players talk to a specific character, even if said individual isn't standing right next-to the gamer's avatar. This also means that you can add customized variants of each map-sector that enable Non-Playable-Characters (NPC's) to feature up to twenty-four different reactions, and-or voice-files, depending on both, the number of collisions, and, where the player is standing, in another personage's map-sector!

  6. Help-text has been upgraded to be hosted in the slide-master! This means that if you ever get lost, and if you ever need a recapitulation on how to do something in RPGMakerPPT3D, you can now just create a temporary blank-slide, load the respective help-text as its layout, and then undo its creation or delete it when you feel you don't need it anymore! No more searching through your game's code just to recall how to add background-music!

We hope you like the simple-yet-exciting footage we've shown you here today, as it essentially means that since it's now going to be easier than ever before to make a PowerPoint RPG, you all can finally begin to expect some real top-down adventure-games to come out of "JadeJohnson Games™", or at least until we complete our currently-planned first full-3D open-world title!

Please enjoy, and as always, "Happy Jading!™"
