And here it is, at last. Always a special moment when you can present the first screenshot.
The game begins when Ryanna rises from her grave. Fully awake, not rotten at all, like she was never dead to begin with. She has however no memory of the time before she was entombed in this forest, which is (of course, as clichés go) your task to figure out.
As you can see I’ve chosen for the similarities in Lay-Out, The Fairy Tale REVAMPED also offered, as I already found out during the production of Star Story, this was a way to create a very quick to use interface, and I love quick to use Interfaces. This screen does also not yet show everything, as there is currently too much to do. (TBH. This screen is all you could get on the moment I posted this).
The game will (like Star Story) be completely mouse controlled. In TFT REVAMPED I tried to combine mouse and keyboard operations, but that only ended up as a disaster, and that also happened in Dyrt, actually, so that will be disposed forever. Either only keyboard/joypad only or mouse only, but no more combi interfaces for RPG games.
The game will feature four playable characters. The HP bar and the other bars may look ridiculously large now, as Ryanna is at the game start the only character in the party. This will adept when Nino and the others join her on her journey.
As you can see this game has been preferably set up to be played in full screen (windowed mode is possible), but as screens differ in sizes, this game will try to adapt itself to your screen size. This “stretching HP bar” set up was the easiest way for me to deal with that, and I guess it’s also a different approach on matters, which never hurt (well, only if done well, which some people never did. Yes, Microsoft, I am talking to you).
Things begin to take shape now, but there’s still a lot of work to be done, before I have a real playable game, but this is how all my RPGs began, so have a little faith in me ;)
