Howdy, BnP GameJolt community! In this article, we'll try to discuss our current progress on the upcoming update, as well as some info on how you too can have the chance to join our team!

If you're part of our Discord server (which you should totally join if you haven't already), this info may not be all that new to you, but it serves well as a recap of the current mod progress since v4.2.2.

Without further ado, let's dive right in:

We've been consistently working on the new Suzy Side Story, a brand new piece to the tale, which follows your escapades alongside a young Susie in the mysterious Hotland sub-area, Hotterland (Asgore came up with the name).

This new area has charred black rocks and intensely hot green lava, but the main highlight of it all is the construction site, under the vigilant control of Meyde Forman.

Meyde Forman is a hard working man's man, who just wants a promotion in the company he's working for. He might seem like he's trying to kill our protagonists, but he's really just trying to get them to go home, not knowing that's what they're trying to do to begin with.

Hotterland is also home to new Monster encounters, with some designs ripped straight out of Toby's scrapped notes, mixed with Shiny Shimmering versions of regular Hotland Monsters. You'll be facing off against them with the help of Suzy's ACTs and SPELLs.

Explore the forgotten corners of the Underground, with new dangers and experiences sprinkled in!

On top of all this, we've also tweaked some of the older content! Updated tilesets, battle sprites and even some dynamic sounds!

Recently, we've come to the realization that the project has gotten a bit too ambitious for the team to handle as-is, we're no Toby Fox after all. So, we've decided to open up team member applications! We're primarily searching for musicians and programmers, but some sprite artists are needed as well (the bar for entry will be higher due to us already having so many)!
