Upcoming plan of action and an important poll

Hey, all!

While I do intend to get in a few fixes in on some of the rather massive issues the current PTB still has, I will be taking a break from development for an extended period.

But before we reach that point, I do have a few extra polls to post to help steer me in the right direction when I come back to this project later on.

The first, and to some a very important item to address, is Unscrew.

---

I will admit the recent nerfs went too hard on these skills and were mostly unfounded. Not the best idea to do balance changes to it when I did.

So to amend this, I will be reinstating the cut function. Unscrew and Unscrew 2 had an unmentioned feature where they have a low chance of also affecting challengers/minibosses/bosses/etc.

I'll be reworking it to better match up with the fights, but I'm a bit hung up on how lethal a hit will be.

There's two ways this can go.

First is that I get as close to the original las possible and give it the option to actually insta-kill bosses, but at the cost of having a very small chance of actually landing the killing blow.

The second is what the game was using before the nerf, where the attack only did a certain amount of damage to a boss when it landed a hit. For this one, I would be changing it so that rather than a flat damage number (think it was 500 dmg before), it would instead take a fraction of the max health. Probably somewhere in the range of 1/10 of the health if I go with this.

---

I will have another poll up later for sure, but that's about it for the moment.

How about we change things up?

That time of year again.

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

I might be having too much fun with this process...

Yeah, we're doing this.

First signs of danger.

Still have to address a few tweaks to layering and test some other sidequests, but I think that we're back on track again.

New look, new direction.
