Forgotten is still being worked on.
It’s evolving past just a hobby project. It’s getting bigger. It’s getting better. I’ve made a lot of changes to the core gameplay. Some of them, such as the presence of mementos and voice acting, make the game a lot more complete and professional feeling. And some of them, such as the way game rules are so consistent and predictable, just make the game /feel/ better.
Not only that, but I’ve got two graphics artists and a sound composer working with me on this project. The new models look much better than my old ones, and Forgotten’s soundtrack isn’t just a bunch of sounds that I got from Freesounds.org, either. It’s been made, from the ground up, just for Forgotten. And it sounds great.
I’m excited to show you guys all of these. I want you to see how much the game has grown, and I want to hear how you feel about it. The plan is still for me to upload an improved version of the demo playable here for you to all try and see. But, that’s not ready yet. It almost is, but not quite. I want that level to be fully playable and bug-free before I put it up here, and I’m still at least a month behind on that.
BUT, If you’re interested in Forgotten and you want to see what it looks like right now, you can. Send me an e-mail. You have to be able to record your playthrough and potentially willing to narrate your feelings as you play. I don’t know how many responses I get, but I won’t be able to respond to too many, so if you really want to play, make sure you include some kind of introduction and let me know why you’re interested in playing the WIP demo.
That’s all the news for now. Hopefully I’ve re-ignited some of your interest in Forgotten. Don’t forget to share Forgotten with your friends and to let anybody you know interested in this game that it’s still alive. And, keep an eye on your inbox. Expect some more updates. With screenshots.
