Updates on Test Build 1.1


The last few teasers were probably vague, so it’s probably best that I give more concrete details.

As of right now, the framework for the party system is coming together rather well. It’ll include a preview of the character, as well as a showcase of their skills. Also, you can now select 8 characters and the game will remember the choice. (Well, as long as the game is open. Still haven’t tinkered with saving.)

I’ll be trying to assemble a proper battle system soon. If it works, it’ll be included next update. If not, I’ll save if for a later update.

For final details, I’m hoping it’ll be ready to drop within the coming week.

Next up

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

I think I know what needs to be done to shake up XL's next public appearance...

While I chip away at the code for XL, I might as well show off the fruits of another thing I had tinkered with: modding custom music into Bionicle Heroes.

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.

Suppose it's rude to come back doing polls without showing some sort of progress for it.

Mini Progress Update:

Motivation came back for a bit, so I figured I'd use it to bring Minibosses back into the fray

(Also working on a demo-specific sidequest that hands out powerups.)

Suppose it was about time that some of these skills got a little extra kick.

Suppose it was rude to take down the demo and not at least show off something as compensation.
